Top 5 Best Free Script Fonts

I'm a font-loving junkie y'all! I use script fonts a lot in my designs. They're gorgeous and they look great on just about anything. I've spent hundreds of dollars on fonts within the last year since I received my Silhouette Cameo, and of course I have my favorite paid-go-to-fonts, but at the end of the day, who doesn't love a free font?

My favorite font resource is DaFont. They always have new snazzy fonts, and it seems like the newer the font, the more fabulous it is. Oh and did I mention they're FREE?

I wanted to write this post to share with you all my top 5 free script fonts ... I hope you all love these as much as I do. Please do note that these fonts are only available for personal use, however some designers do sell commercial rights to them. It's totally worth looking into if you sell your crafts, as some of them come with even more glyphs and ornaments if purchased.

Happy Crafting y'all!

FREE Printable Labels For Your HTV Projects

Hey y'all! Today I wanted to share a new FREEBIE printable file, that you can include with all of your HTV projects. These tags are awesome to include with all of your packages that you ship out, as they will help your customers know exactly how to care for their garments, and it will also help you when it comes to customer issues because of mishandling on their part.
I'm not sure if you've ever had this happen before, but sometimes upon shipping an item, the customer will wash it and will almost immediately either message you or leave a review stating that something happened to their shirt in the wash, and may now need a replacement. Well most of the time, it's something that can be easily avoided by explaining to your customers from the get-go how to care for their items. It's always something as simple as the shirt was not turned inside out, or it was washed in hot water. Things like this happen and that's why I decided to make these cards and share them with you all. When you're running a crafting business, it's always very important to take every precautionary measure to avoid having to replace things for customers. It's always best to be on the safe side.
So you're probably wondering where to get your download right? Just give it to me you're saying! Well HERE IT IS! Just download the file, and you can print your cards right away. These are NOT setup as a cutting file, just an FYI. These should be printed using your regular printer and then cut to include with your items. Or you can use the PNG file included to upload the image to websites such as Vistaprint where you can order business cards with this image to be sent to you directly! This usually ends up being a great option, as you can get as many as 100 for $9.99, sometimes even less.
I hope this helps you all, and please feel free to share these with others! These can be used for business purposes, I do just ask that they not be shared in any other place (You can link directly to this post.), and that they NOT BE RESOLD in any way.

FAQ's
I'm new to to crafting what do I need?
SILHOUETTE CAMEO: I use a Silhouette Cameo to cut all my designs, but there's a couple of different kinds of machines out there that you can craft with. If you don't yet have a machine and are looking for a recommendation, I suggest that you start of with a bundle that has tools rather than vinyl attached to it. The Silhouette Cameo Starter Bundle from Amazon is a great choice! I also suggest upgrading the basic Silhouette Studio software to the Designer Edition as it allows for you to open up SVG files, and have access to all of the the tools available with it, and Amazon has it on sale for $29 compared to the $50 in the Silhouette Store!
VINYL: There are different kinds of vinyl as well that you can use. The most popular type is HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl). This is what you need for clothing and fabrics. You will not need transfer tape for this kind of vinyl as it already comes with a carrier sheet of its own and you will be weeding it out. I recommend using Siser brand vinyl for sure to get a great quality product. Then there's ORACLE 631 .... this is Indoor Vinyl! Think of this kind of vinyl as something that you would use a semi-permanent solution for things like windows, vehicle decals, etc. This will require transfer tape to be able to place it on whatever surface you're placing it on. There's also ORACLE 651 ... this is Outdoor Vinyl and it is permanent! I love this stuff for coffee mugs, cups, etc. This will also require transfer tape! I usually purchase my supplies from HeatTransferVinyl4uand TheVinylSpectrum ... but please do your research and see which supplier is more convenient for you :).
BLADES: Make sure that you take care of your Silhouette Blades as they do not last forever! I actually suggest purchasing a Graphtec CB09 Blade, just remember to buy the holder for it. There's different angle blades that you can purchase for different materials, but some of the basic ones you'll want are the ones for FABRICVINYLTHICKER MATERIALS, or you can purchase a BUNDLE of them!
HEAT PRESS: You will need this if you're going to be working with HTV! It is not a necessity as you can use your at home iron, however it will make your life much easier! It also doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg! I purchased mine from Amazon and I love it! I know that HeatPressNation.com also has good ones! The main things that you want to make sure your heat press has are a 15x15 size to place your product and most importantly a warranty of some sort in case something happens to it!
ACCESSORIES: There are a ton of accessories that you're going to want to get, but the first two that you will need are going to be a Teflon Sheet if you purchase a heat press, and some Transfer Tape if you're going to be using the ORACLE 631 and 651.
This is a big expense! Is there any coupons or ways to save?
YES, there is EBATES! If you haven't yet started with them, it's a total must for any crafter out there! When you first sign up they have a $10 promo that you can cash out upon making your first purchase. They also do cash back just about EVERYWHERE and will alert you of any coupons out there! If you purchase supplies online you will want to rack up that cash back from each purchase to cash out for even more goodies ... I've received over $200 back!
IN CONCLUSION
Remember that all machines are different and that you will have questions and accidents happen. Just don't give up and make some crafting friends; you'll have a blast talking about your new creations and such. I wish you all the best of luck and happy cutting!
